Had this pedal for about 1.5 years now, its a great workhorse!
It comes with 200 odd patches for almost any genre of music under the sun (so many that i have never even used some of them!) and there are so many more effects and built in boss pedals than I can even count.
You get a 45ish second looper, a bazillion pre-amp models, a good selection of custom tones for download off the Roland website, the single easiest custom tone creation (EZ tone) I have ever seen, wah pedal (probably the worst aspect of the GT-10, but usable none the less), built in tuner, easy and thorough effects chain editing, 2 channel selection and send/return capability for your amp and soooooooo much more.

I am going to be selling my GT-10 next week after our lovely fun times together, simply for money issues and the fact that it does not djent! lol. For every other genre of music ever graced by western civilization, this pedal is the king… blues, jazz, rock, metal, punk, classical, even electronic based stuff. But my music taste has gotten progressively heavier and unorthodox over the last couple of years and for bands like meshuggah, periphery, tesseract, fellsilent ect ect, i just cannot get the tones for that from this pedal. That is where my PODxt comes in

Overall however, for 99% of music out there, this pedal can achieve the tone. its a whole lot of fun and it is the easiest pedal to get to know and use that I have ever come across.

It goes without saying that the sounds are very good and modelled very well. The real strength in this Boss product is the versatility and ease of use for live work. As I play a variety of cover versions in my gigging duo, I need something that at a press of a button can switch tonal forms and the GT 10 does that. I would suggest sitting down with the 100 page manual and YouTube (for the plethora of tutorials and demos) a few evenings a week to really explore and use the features on this gadget. Just some of the things this model is good at: USB connection to a PC for storing and transporting patches, downloading patches from the web, moving effects within the effects chain, high gain, clean sounds, and most useful of all assigning effects to controllers. It is also possible to send and return to other stomp boxes and even control your amp! I've read some reviews saying that the Wah isn't very good but I'd disagree with that. If I had to find any negatives I can only think of one: the LED buttons above the foot switches that control the pre amp, effects etc are far too bright, there's just no need for that level of radiance and unlike the display screen you can't adjust the contrast. Great Phaser! It arrived within 4 days & in perfect condition…NEW as I expected, although the box was a little damaged. I’m getting some lovely sounds out of it, it also sounds great with my bass guitars. I need to purchase a propper power adaptor for it as the cheapo one I’m using hums a little, but the unit sounds perfect running on a 9v battery (batteries don’t last very long though. If you require a phaser pedal go get one of these babies!

I had been wanting to learn how to play the bass guitar for a long time, so I took a friend of mine with me and went to various music shops and tried a selection of bass guitars out. I wanted a 5 string as it gives more flexibility with the extra string (low B). The thing growls like theres no tomorrow when plugged into my Roland practice combo.
It looks the business and I don’t know how Yamaha can do it for the money. They use quality materials in it’s construction and it plays like a dream.
To think I was considering buying a 5 string 2-3 times the price. Thank goodness I didn’t.

Would I recommend it? Hell yes!!!!!

However, you get quality for what you pay for. There are any many simulators of this sound like my Zoom B1 Multi Effects Basspedal which has an ODB3 simulator on it. Boss Pedals are always pricy. However, you get quality for what you pay for. There are any many simulators of this sound like my Zoom B1 Multi Effects Basspedal which has an ODB3 simulator on it. However, you can tell the difference; unless cost isn’t an issue.

Had tried several pedals but none sound as natural as this. Perfect array of distortions, easy to operate, built like a tank. Fairly obviously, it sounds best once the valve is warmed up. Perhaps not distorted enough for hardcore/metal (for this check out the dist-x model) but perfect for blues, rock and alt-rock sounds. If stolen I'd replace in a heartbeat and considering the improvement to tone and build quality I think it's an absolute steal. One consideration is it doesn't take a conventional 9v power supply, but the 16v supply is included. Definitely recommended if you get a killer clean tone out of your amp but the amp's distortion is wanting. Have been trying to get a decent distortion sound out of my Marshall AVT150h half stack for ages. Had tried several pedals but none sound as natural as this. Perfect array of distortions, easy to operate, built like a tank. Fairly obviously, it sounds best once the valve is warmed up. Perhaps not distorted enough for hardcore/metal (for this check out the dist-x model) but perfect for blues, rock and alt-rock sounds. If stolen I’d replace in a heartbeat and considering the improvement to tone and build quality I think it’s an absolute steal. One consideration is it doesn’t take a conventional 9v power supply, but the 16v supply is included. Definitely recommended if you get a killer clean tone out of your amp but the amp’s distortion is wanting. CRANK HER UP!

Firstly I’ll start by saying I have never left a review on Amazon before but I am so pleased with this guitar that I felt inclined to do so on this occasion!
I bought this guitar pack for my son who has been playing for about 8 months. I was looking for something not too expensive but that would last if he decided to keep playing.

My son’s teacher was amazed with the quality and value for money of this guitar pack! It literally comes with everything you need and Im told its playability and finish is of top quality, comparable to guitars that are usually much more expensive!
